The Institute for Orchestral Development in the Philippines
proudly presents

CHASING BARLINES
10th Anniversary Concert Gala
Music Underkonstruction V - Koro Filipino Grand Launching
MMCO Soloists

July 20, 2010 from 7pm t 9pm
Marian Auditorium Miriam College
Katipunan, Quezon City

One of the pieces that we'll be singing is Psalm 150 that is quite... ahm... I don't know how to put it... but... it's ahm... like... crazy... gosh...

Here is a picture of the soprano section. I wasn't able to take other section as it is nakakahiya... Hahaha! I am just an invitee singer there by my housemate, Ate Jing, who is the president of AUIT... Ouch...
Now, the feeling is so satisfying yet creepy (goosebumps!!!) as we sing together with an orchestra conducted by Sir Chino Toledo. Sabi ko nga, iba pa rin if the music is live and the fact that it's an orchestra, I think that it's really a big opportunity sing with such event. Well, mga taga UP naman kase to unlike when... ahm... basta wag na... Haha!

I'll be happy to sing again with them and attend the rehearsal this Thursday. Haha! =)

Kris Bernal on I Laugh Sabado - July 31, 2010

I had fun doing this taping with Kris Bernal. She's nice ah. Anyway, here's a picture of us... =)

Jhelo, Kris, Marvin, Me, Abe, "Ate Kris", and Ate Arlene

Buti na lang there was a big mirror there. Kung nagkaton, wala ako sa picture and i'll just ask someone to take my picture with Kris. Haha! I was asking Ate ni Kris what's the real score behind those chismis on TV. Well, there was just one thing I have confirmed... That Kris and _____ were dating... and now... they are... Hmmmm... Secret! Hahahaha!

Ngayong Sabado, abangan na naman ang makulit na barkadahan ng I LAUGH SABADO kasama si Kris Bernal at Kevin Santos! Dito lamang sa QTV 11, 8:30 ng gabi.

Ang Kambal ng Tadhana

We had our Potchi taping last Saturday. That was July 24, 2010. One of the happy moments in our taping is when I meet people. And not only just people but cute kids....! One of the cutest Potchi Players i've ever seen are these kids below. Meet Daniel and David. They are only 7 years old and will be 8 this Sept.

Daniel, Me, and David

When the this particular episode taping was done, I asked Ate Eva to take our picture. I was really excited to have this picture because of the obvious reason, they are sooooooo lovable and cute! This reminds me of Richard and Raymond G. I just hope that both of these kids here will grow as males... Peace to Raymond!

Cuteness is the right word to describe the twin. However, I wasn't able to get a picture of the other twin. They were Juan Miguel and Juan Carlos. O di ba? Parang telenovela lang...! Miguel and Carlos are the opponents of these cute brothers here. =)

Philippine Madrigal Singers - The Greatest Hits II

Now I'm proud to say that I have 3 well known persons who are members of this group - Twinkle, my housemate; Kuya Tim and Matmat, my former choirmates in Manila Chamber Singers. This is obviously the 2nd time that our group sponsored Madz. The first time was way back... hmmm... I can't remember... I wasn't a member yet of MCS when Madz were sponsored by our group. Madz and MCS really know each other well. This event happened in July 24, 2010 in Philamlife Theater in UN Avenue, Manila. The program started at 7:30... That's what I can remember...

Anyway... the event gathered lots of fans of the Madz and choral lovers. I was one of the "unofficial" photographers of this event, tasked by Kuya Emon. Well, to Kuya Jules, I've posted the pictures already and I can say that I have delivered well this time... Haha!

So here is one of the pictures taken by me using my Nikon D3000:

It was a success. Definitely. Madz, indeed, has lots of fans. I just can't help thinking again and again of those foreigners seated in front of the stage who continuously wrote whatever kind of review they were making at that night. Each song, I think, have written comments. When I zoomed in my camera, I saw one of them wearing a UST Conservatory of Music uniform. So that was it... They were studying Madz for some reason... comparing them with UST Singers maybe. Well, it's one of the usual reasons...

Anyhow, I went directly to GMA 7 at that night after our Cafe Adriatico hang out with some of the old members of our group and celebrated our success.

soon to be KA-BLOG hosts...

I just bumped into these people yesterday for Tropang Potchi taping, July 24, 2010. Below are Yassi (Party Pilipinas), Bela (Party Pilipinas and Endless Love), and John Manalo (from ABS-CBN). These busy teens will surely make into the world of News and Public Affairs of GMA. I heard from a source that Yassi is being considered as one of the final cast while Bela, being a Bea Alonzo look alike, has quite negative comments because of her looks... as a Bea Alonzo definitely. But what will make her stop if she has the talent? I think she's capable of the job. John Manalo, however, being a former talent of ABS, as what I am hypothesizing, has the guts. It's obvious! He gained lots of "correct" training from that station and can land on the right job too...

Yassi, Bela, and John

Yassi, Me, Bela, and John

Yassi, Morrie, Bela, and John

Now I can see the career starting to bloom on these teenagers here. I was just shocked when I saw John. He is so tall now... and no career in ABS-CBN. Well, how can you put John in other shows in 2 if there are lots of fresh faces in Star Magic waiting for their turn to shine. Hope to work with them soon... again...

My Elem. Class Students in Antipolo

So here I am, posting pictures of my class in the elementary level. I took these last Friday. That was July 23, 2010. That was also the time when I went straight to Philam Life Theater for the Madz Concert sponsored by us... The Manila Chamber Singers. Anyway, here are the faces of my cute students.

Ok... so what you're seeing now are the "makukulit students of mine. You'll notice some of them show a dragon like paper something or whatever but that is the product for that day... a 3D model... as an introduction for our media class... Hope to have more fun activities soon...

My Multimedia High School and Elem Classes

I've been teaching multimedia in high school and elementary, in Antipolo, for three weeks already. I never knew that there will be high school students who will enjoy and eagerly listen to my lectures as well as the elem. level. I think that in those few weeks, many have learned a lot from me and will continue to be critical of the mass media they are experiencing. And because of this... It's a CHECK!

BASYANG

Total darkness... daw... Hindi ko pa 'to makita as of now...

Eh... Basta. Yun na yun...

=)

YASSI

We were having a meeting for awhile when Yassi passed by in front of our room. Me and our stylist called her. She came in and said her hi to us. She was our guest last Saturday for Tropang Potchi taping which will be aired on the 2nd or 3rd Saturday of July. She did a dance number with our kids in Potchi and had a short showdown with Julian.

Anyway, before Yassi entered our room, our stylist wrote "Yassi" on my hand. Continuing, our stylist got Yassi's number and when I asked her if I can also get hers, she saw my hand... I was kinda shy when she saw it. She asked if she can take a picture of it... While she was taking it, I was really laughing out loud... oh my... shyness... Haha!

Justin Bieber on KC Montero

I don't know what's with KC but he rocks...!

KC Montero dresses up in drag after Justin Bieber follows him on Twitter

This will somehow intrigue the youngsters of the "upcoming concert" of Justin maybe this or next year... same with Justin... that he will notice the big number of his fans in the country... My teachers will kill me for the fan thingy... Media Theories... again, remind me of the negative things...

Academe...

Academe...

Dressing Room

I'm actually looking at the sign board of our dressing room in Studio 6. This was taken last week in our taping for our 2nd season of I Laugh Sabado by my friend, Abe.

It's 2:38AM now and I'm still up. Woah... While doing this blog, I am tuned in to ABS-CBN and now listening and watching to SUKOB na, their station I.D. I really like this song. It gives calmness in my heart. I don't know but the feeling is totally peaceful.

I'm actually wondering if GMA 7 can somehow have an artistic way of doing AVPs. Oh well... It's LOYALTY that matters in the network... giving jobs to those people who have been part of the network's life for years already...

=)
